Card Bank 2010

Card Bank 2010

Postby miss~nance » Wed May 05, 2010 3:53 pm

Did you know that SOF has a card bank. And we have a new card bank co-ordinator, Mary.

How does our card bank work...................... We send handmade cards (preferably) to Mary who holds them until a need arises to encourage one of our ladies. The need could be a congratulations such as passing an exam, new job, having a baby/grandchild, engagement/wedding, new home etc or to offer support such as illness, depression, death in family, loss of work etc or simply a reminder that they are being prayed for.

The cards can either have a Christian stamp/message inside or left blank. Some of the ideas for the greeting on the front could be:- praying for you, get well, thinking of you, sending you hugs, congratulations etc.

If you would like to be support our card bank please pm Mary for her address or to nominate one of OUR ladies.

This is different to our Tins of Hope as we will be sending cards to members as an encouragement as opposed to outreach.

Mary hoping you got my cards from Mum and Dad. I have just put verses on and left the inside blank. That way I figured that you could use them for whatever you wanted, birthday, sympathy, encouragement. Hope that is OK.

Have been busy making more cards.... hopefully to deliver personalling to Mary in a couple of months time.

You can check them out here......

don't forget to say hi to me though if you visit.

Got to admit I am loving this card making at the moment. I love the fact that if you make a few the same, you can actually achieve quite a bit in a short period of time. One of the paper shops here had 50% off some of their papers, so I bought a few sheets. Just means that quite a few cards will be pretty much the same, but hey, they all get sent to different people hey, so it doesn't really matter. There are quite a few girls at church at the moment who don't particularly feel confident scrapbooking but are really loving card making.
